Greetings from a chaotic Akers household. Why we chose to have some rooms
painted THIS WEEK.......God must have some more lessons of patience to teach
us !!!

 

Things happened so fast this past week that we were not able to get the news
to everyone, but just to keep you up to date, Geraldine had her gall bladder
removed today after Doctors detected a large gallstone and recommended a
speedy removal of the gall bladder following quite a severe gastric 'event'
last weekend.

 

Geraldine had the op this afternoon, when I saw her at 5:45 she had just
come back from theatre and was still very sleepy. Over the next two hours
she woke up, but was not really able to communicate much and complained of
much pain. When I left at 8 she was still very drowsy and very sore. I
didn't see the Doctor so don't know what his immediate reaction was, but I
am guessing that things went according to plan. The nurse says the pain will
have eased by tomorrow. There were three other older ladies in the ward all
in for similar ops tomorrow and they were NOT pleased to see Geraldines
sufferings !
