[Mondeor] Evening service prayer

Dear friends 

 

Sometimes we feel caught between a rock and a hard place and we have
concluded that we are in a spiritual / emotional / social "blind alley" and
that "things will never change anyway." We have been struggling with issues
and have given up praying. We just don't believe anymore that God will or
can act on our behalf.  

 

Isaiah reminds us that in the midst of trouble God is able to deliver us: 

27 Why do you say, O Jacob, 
       and complain, O Israel, 
       "My way is hidden from the LORD; 
       my cause is disregarded by my God"?

 28 Do you not know? 
       Have you not heard? 
       The LORD is the everlasting God, 
       the Creator of the ends of the earth. 
       He will not grow tired or weary, 
       and his understanding no one can fathom.

 29 He gives strength to the weary 
       and increases the power of the weak.

 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, 
       and young men stumble and fall;

 31 but those who hope in the LORD 
       will renew their strength. 
       They will soar on wings like eagles; 
       they will run and not grow weary, 
       they will walk and not be faint.

The service starts at 18h00 downstairs in the lounge where we will be
praying for folks. The Lord loves his children and is able to break chains
and deliver. Even when you feel stuck between a rock and a hard place it
will not be a dead end with the Lord Jesus! He "is able to do immeasurably
more than all we ask or imagine according to his power that is at work
within us" (Ephesians 3: 20)
