Good news !  For those who have not received my sms, Mark called earlier
before I reached the border (I was driving to support him though I knew I'd
be too late to do anything about the fire). The fire is finally vanquished,
thanks to sterlig efforts by the volunteers, Mark and the staff, and thanks
to the Lord's wonderful intervention, causing the wind to drive the fire
away up the valley.  

 

Pray for mama Berta, the new Bethel hospitality lady, who was overcome by
the smoke and stress and passed out. She is not injured but was very upset.
Frog's house burnt to the ground, but no human injuries were sustained, God
spared the generator and generator house and fuel which would have made a
real conflagration, BUT none of the block buildings, including the ministry
hall, bathrooms, kitchen nor our own house nor the new staff house, were
damaged. This is miraculous as the fire burnt all around Bethel, and Mark
reports that the smoke and heat were incredible - the scariest experience of
his life so far !

 

Thank you all for your prayers !  We are so glad to have everyone safe and
sound ! Our God is sovereign!   BUT What a good reminder that some day ALL
OUR WORK, will be tested by fire - and only that built of the precious metal
of the Holy Spirit's work in changing lives, will outlast the smoke.
