Dear members of the SAICE Western and Southern Cape Branches 

This is an urgent reminder that the Western and Southern Cape will be
featured in the August 2008 issue of SAICE's magazine "Civil
Engineering". In this regard please refer to the attached 2008 features
list. 

As I will be taking over as editor from the August issue onwards, I
would be most grateful for your assistance to make a success of this
particular issue.  I am attaching a rough template that you may use as a
guide when preparing articles, but please feel free to contact me with
any other queries that you may have. Ideally someone within each Branch
Committee would coordinate submissions, but to save time, I am
requesting that you please send your contributions directly to me
(contact details below). The deadline for submissions is Tuesday 17 June
2008. 

Our magazine reaches around 8 000 readers, so this really is an ideal
opportunity to showcase interesting civil engineering projects in your
part of the country, and/or happenings within your Branch. Although the
main feature in the August magazine will be environmental engineering
(see attached features list), you are most welcome to report on any
interesting civil engineering projects in your area. 

We would also appreciate it if you could provide our advertising agent,
Barbara Spence (contact details below), with relevant leads, as the
magazine cannot be published without supporting income from
advertisements. 

We would love to feature your Branch/es as best possible in our
magazine, and look forward to receiving your contributions!
