JOINT CIVILS DIVISION LECTURE SERIES 2009
PRESENTATION BY JOHAN ROSSOUW
(CEO of the stock broking company Vunani Securities, and also holds the
position of Vunani Group Economist )
The Joint Civils Division of SAICE and ICE is hosting its next event in
the 2009 Lecture Series at the National Museum of Military History, in
Saxonwold, Johannesburg.
Economic outlook and prospects for the domestic equity market
Tuesday 2 June 2009 from 16h00 in Johannesburg
(To be followed by a follow-up presentation in Cape Town on 19 August

Johan Rossouw has been a professional economist for the past 21 years.
He started his career in the public sector and then moved to Afrikaanse
Handelsinstituut (AHI) where he eventually held the position of
Director: Economics and specialist Services. As an AHI representative,
he served on Business South Africa's Standing Committee on Economic
Policy and represented organized business at various task groups of the
National Economic Forum (NEF) i.e. the Trade and Industry Task Group and
the Liquid Fuels Task Group. He also served as an AHI representative on
the National Housing Forum. At the beginning of 2006 he joined the stock
broking company Huysamer Stals and has since worked in the investment
industry as stockbroker and investment manager.
As a rated analyst, Johan primarily does economic and bond market
analyses, but also covers top-down investment strategy. He is currently
the CEO of the stock broking company Vunani Securities, and also holds
the position of Vunani Group Economist. The focus of his presentation
will be on the outlook for the South African economy and markets against
the backdrop of the global financial turmoil.

Please join us at 16h00 for a cup of tea or coffee at the National
Museum of Military History where we will hold the talk, which will start
around 16h30. The talk will be followed by a short update on the
division by the Chairman, Mr Mike Lomas, refreshments and a time to
network with peers. We plan to finish some time between 18h00 and 18h30
hrs.
We offer CPD points on qualifying lectures to those people who have
e-mail addresses.

of R70.00 (we will of course accept more than this!).
