'Engineering Planet Future - Beyond 2010' Indaba and exhibition:

 16 to 18 March 2010, CSIR Conference Centre, PRETORIA

Our generous sponsor, Esorfranki Limited, has made it possible for 100
student members of SAICE, as well as associate members who are younger
than 36 years of age, to attend a full-day session of this indaba that
challenges the civil engineering and related professions to explore the
concept of sustainability. This indaba goes way beyond 'greening' and
offers lots of interaction, cut-to-the-core debates and activities
towards enlightening and defining sustainability, to make environmental
and economic sense.

 

A special one-day session has been included for our younger audience -
please see the programme on the above website.

 

In order for our sponsor, Esorfranki Limited, to qualify for the Code
600 BEE Scorecard a minimum of 75% of students/associates benefiting
should be previously disadvantaged individuals.

 

The sponsorship per SAICE student member and associates under 36 years
of age will cover the Indaba fee for the full-day registration. However,
travel and accommodation are NOT covered and will be for their own
account.

 

Special request

We would like to host SAICE student members and associates from all over
South Africa but we need your assistance! We therefore implore you to
aid the young people coming from outside Gauteng, financially with
travel and accommodation costs.

 

As time is of the essence, nominations will be accepted on a first come,
first served basis.
