We have a wonderful opportunity for you to showcase your innovations,
innovative ideas, opinions or convictions about sustainability and the
future. This event is a rather novel idea, at least for SAICE, since it
does not follow the conventional templates of a conference.
The idea is to give as many individuals an opportunity to participate
and to have their say. We are able to accommodate about 40 to 50 Poster
Papers that will be exhibited in the brand new CSIR exhibition facility
at the convention centre.
Please send us an email copy of the text of your poster paper to enable
us to consider your submission. To stimulate your thoughts, examples of
topics are listed below, but this list is not exhaustive or
prescriptive.
NB: Closing date - Final poster papers have to reach us by not later
than Wednesday 10 March 2010 since we have to set up the posters in the
hall by 17h00 on Monday 15 March.
To send in, please communicate with Carla de Jager at :

Guidelines for Poster Presentations
The intention of the Indaba is to contribute to, communicate and present
ideas, opinions, debates, innovation and knowledge in the field of
sustainability, looking into the future beyond 2010. Posters must not be
advertisements or commercial publicity and there should be no reference
to trade, company or product names.
We do NOT require that a poster paper be supported by a written paper
but you are welcome to submit such papers as well. Written papers and
poster presentations are two separate items but the poster should not
deviate from the content of the written paper. We intend to publish both
the Poster papers and written support papers in the proceedings and we
therefore require an electronic copy of the completed poster paper in
PDF format.
Authors may choose to be present for poster questions at any time.
The organisers do not assume responsibility for any loss, damage or
breakage to any display.
Please note
* The language for poster papers is English.
* Poster sizes can be either A0 or A1
* Posters must be laminated in clear laminate.
* For dispatching by mail or courier posters must be rolled with
the text on the OUTSIDE to prevent curling outward when affixed to the
boards
* It must have a title, authors' name and affiliation at the top
of the board in print 100 to 200 point (25 to 50mm high).
* Text should preferably be Arial and be at least 20 point - 5mm
in height
* Drawings, graphs, figures, charts and pictures must have a sub
title and be large enough to be readable from 1.5m. Matt photographs are
preferable as they do not reflect glare and are easier to see.
* Poster display boards will be provided by the organizers and the
organizers will set up the papers in random fashion.
* Authors are requested to donate the posters to SAICE to be used
for career guidance purposes but authors will retain copyright.
Indaba regards!
