Dear members of SAICE's Information Technology Division

This is an urgent reminder that the combined January-February 2011 edition of SAICE's magazine, "Civil Engineering", will be featuring information technology as it applies to civil engineering. This is an ideal opportunity for your Division to showcase the scope and depth of its activities, so please consider contributing to your very own magazine.

The one thing that makes SAICE's magazine unique, is indeed the fact that most of the articles in the magazine are supplied by SAICE members. If one considers that our magazine reaches approximately 9000 readers every month, and is also handed to decision-makers when SAICE leaders meet with them, contributing to the magazine becomes all the more meaningful.

The extended deadline for articles is Wednesday 15 December 2010. Please send your articles directly to me (see contact details below). I would obviously prefer to have received all contributions for the Jan-Feb magazine by that date, but if you need a further extension to this deadline (with the end-of-year rush in mind), please let me know as soon as possible so that we can negotiate a date that suits your particular circumstances better, while still enabling me to meet production deadlines.

Attached please find a rough template that you may want to use as a guide when preparing articles, should you have a need for that. Please also have a look at the attached 2011 features list - perhaps you have a particular interest in one of the sub-features, or in one of the other upcoming features.
