Joint Civils Division has secured a once in a lifetime opportunity..... a
visit to the construction site of the Gautrain! <br>
<br>
This is the second largest Public Private Partnership project in the world,
and entails massive concentrations of heavy civil engineering construction
through <st1:City w:st="on">Johannesburg</st1:City>, <st1:City w:st="on">Pretoria</st1:City>
and <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Kempton</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType
w:st="on">Park</st1:PlaceType></st1:place>. We have been extremely
fortunate in being able to secure an afternoon with the Gautrain team, to
see how this is being built, and how the challenges work.<br>
<br>
There are two dates available for this site visit, however each has been
limited to 25 people. Registration will be done on a first come first
served basis for each date, and there is only one place per person (you
won't be able to come to the visit on both dates).<br>
<br>
The first visit will be on <strong><b><font face=Tahoma><span
style='font-family:Tahoma'>Thursday 19 June 2008</span></font></b></strong>,
and the second on <strong><b><font face=Tahoma><span style='font-family:
Tahoma'>Thursday 4 September 2008</span></font></b></strong>. Both visits
