Given the importance of VM to the built environment professions, I would
suggest that you include the time taken to complete the questionnaire
in your CPD submission to ECSA. The QS and Architectural professions have
already agreed to "points" being awarded for participation
(self-study). The CPD benefits of participating in the survey include: an
appreciation of value management as a tool for better achieving client
satisfaction with their buildings; a better understanding of the multi-faceted
nature of VM; exposure to the many VM Standards available to practitioners;
insight into the various VM tools available to practitioners and the potential
for the widespread use of VM (at different stages of the project); and an
appreciation of how many practitioners are not conversant with this technique
and the potential competitive advantage that can be gained from using it. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
