He has served as a consultant to industry and government agencies in the USA and abroad, including the highway and transportation authorities of the USA, Canada, UK and Japan, the US Air Force, the US Office of Naval Research, the US Department of the Interior, NATO and the Japan Ministry of Education, among many others. Dr. Frangopol is the Founding President of the International Association for Life Cycle Civil Engineering (IALCCE) and of the International Association for Bridge Maintenance and Safety (IABMAS).
