Join the Joint Civils Division and see how the Gautrain is built...
The Joint Civils Division has secured a once in a lifetime
opportunity..... a visit to the construction site of the Gautrain!
This is the second largest Public Private Partnership project in the
world, and entails massive concentrations of heavy civil engineering
construction through Johannesburg, Pretoria and Kempton Park. We have
been extremely fortunate in being able to secure an afternoon with the
Gautrain team, to see how this is being built, and how the challenges
work.
There are two dates available for this site visit, however each has been
limited to 25 people. Registration will be done on a first come first
served basis for each date, and there is only one place per person (you
won't be able to come to the visit on both dates).
The first visit will be on Thursday 19 June 2008, and the second on
Thursday 4 September 2008. Both visits will follow the same format.
